Working with an international insurance firm based in Hong Kong, they are now seeking for
EXPERIENCED IFRS 17 SPECIALIST ACTUARY
To Assist in the IFRS team to produce and communicate broad range of actuarial results, analysis and business plans to Senior Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the actuary team - to provide technical and business support on various actuary projects
- Implement IFRS 17 into projects to support the development of risk-based capital regimes
- Support and implement the production of the business plan, group risk appetite and other key business results, and communicate results to management or senior management with detailed and robust analyses highlighting the key drivers of the results
- Support and Manage the processes and controls of the IFRS
- Keep up-to-date with the knowledge and development of IFRS17, collaborate with other teams and provide inputs in setting out the framework for the implementation of new financial reporting standard
- Take part in the development of actuary projects in modelling, pricing and reserving
QUALIFICATIONS
- Near or Fellow of Society of Actuaries, or other equivalent actuarial bodies
- Minimum of 4 - 6 years relevant working experience
- Solid knowledge in actuarial concepts, insurance accounting, HKFRS/IFRS, tax and insurance regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, as well as the latest development in IFRS 17
- Experience in UK with-profits management, economic capital or financial experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and presentation skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to multi-task, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Prophet modelling experience and good programming knowledge is a plus
