My client, a top tier buyside firm in Hong Kong is in search for a Senior Middle Office Developer (Sophis/Risk Mgmt System) to join their Platform team, providing technology solutions to the middle office, compliance, risk, human resources and finance stakeholders.
- Work with Middle Office, Compliance, Risk and Finance, HR to gather requirements, understand existing processes and using technology to improve the efficiency of these business areas.
- Learn and understand our risk management environment and toolset. Firm command of Sophis specific knowledge (core risk platform) preferred. Manage the risk configuration of environments to ensure the businesses trading activities are supported by these systems and relevant parties have sufficient working knowledge to use these environments effectively.
- Contribute to projects that are supported by the whole Platform team, which can include middle office processes, reconciliations, compliance and firm-wide reporting, PnL, risk, HR systems and finance.
- Have a strategic mind-set and carry it through by a series of quick and high-quality deliverables
- Comply with and contribute to development standards and operating model for the team
- 6 years+ work experience
- Deep understanding of systems architecture and design
- Demonstrable experience with position and risk management systems, Sophis know-how preferred.
- C# or Java experience preferred
- A track record of delivering high quality code; agile approach with experience of CI/CD pipelines
- Strong background in financial risk technology on derivative products
- Ability to work in pressured environment and deliver given real world business constraints
- Confident and be able to stand by his/her technical decisions, while staying flexible
